YEAH! i had a HP Pavillion, it worked fine, then when it installed updates from automatic updates it shut down too early and corruped my whole system, meaning it cant even start! how do i know this? a computer repair guy has 90 cases of stuff exatly like this!
moral of the story, if u have automatic updates turned on, turn it off. or get a mac/apple. i lucked out, my moms bos gave my a com tower that works for free.
[btw, its gonna cost about $90 to fix, when i did nothin!]
